Why do social media platforms give service to leftists? They are owned and operated by fascists, as they constantly remind everybody. l do know that a lot of people get banned or shadow banned, but they have to have platform in the first palce to get censored. When & why do people get platformed?
l don't claim to know, l seldom get any views on social media. l experience odd instances of platforming, but usually l get censored when l get views, IRL or online. Imagine being shadowbanned to begin with.
People (who experience platform then get banned) need catharsis; when one gets unbanned, they experience urgency to seize the window of opportunity.
But why do they get the opportunity to get replatformed in the first place?
Opportunity given by one's attacker is very sus. Also very sus is when someone with a "leftist" or "antifascist" identity takes opportunities given by fascists.
As a reult, l was locked out of various personal accounts and social media (Instagram and Twitter).
This social engineering attack came from a hosting provider/ domain registrar in Iceland called "Nineteen Eighty Four dot Ay Ess". This company, as well as another one from Iceland "Orange", is recommended by this March 12, 2025 post from "Proton For Business". Almost exactly 1 year to the day, we find out that privacy vendor Proton snitches by providing payment details to authorities.
Through a British cooperative in Sheffield, l used this company more than 10 years ago. Webarchitects resold hosting service from this provider under the name Ecodissident.net (archived page). l was not concerned about surveillance or censorship, l thought to use a data center that has natural cooling and a mid-Atlantic location. Sounds great, right? So why doesn't/ didn't everyone rush to get hosted in Iceland? Nobody even talks about it.
Iceland legislated for internet stuff at the turn of the century to position themselves for the hosting business. After the financial crisis in the late 2000s, when Iceland (and a lot of other people & entities) defaulted on a bunch of (British) loans, a convenient financial opportunity called bitcoin came up in 2009.
Now it's clear that those (data center) racks would make a lot more money mining crypto than offering censorship resistance, but that did not exist in the 2000s. This means they had about 10 years to genuinely accumulate customers looking for censorship resistance before they changed their revenue strategy.
That was a simplistic description of complex, drama-filled problems. Wait, l can make it even simpler:
In 2016, Webarchitects stopped reselling services from Iceland. They sent communications to subscribers stating that the servers in Iceland suffered physical damage, and that they have backed up and migrated subscribers' data to their own racks in Sheffield. They took this opportunity to take down the page for Ecodissident hosting. The move effectively canceled out my incentive to use their services. l asked Webarchitects if Iceland based hosting would be offered again; they just very politely offered to host on their own infrastructure but did not say why.
After this, l joined the Webarchitects collective for a year to give them some solidarity, but l moved hosting over to gandi.net.
l used e-mail associated with the domain for different accounts. There was content on the site, but it looked like it was blank. People didn't visit my site so much. l wasn't selling anything, and l didn't tell people about the site. In the 2 months since l made this site, it probably got more views from humans than that site ever did. Logs showed nothing but robot indexing hits. Later, l converted it to a terrorist website that was completely covered with a graphic taken directly from the Al Fateh children's magazine website. l took a copy of that back from the internet archive here.
In 2019, l involuntarily allowed the domain registration to lapse. The previous spring in 2018, l was stranded outside of the US by the Gaza Flotilla. l had no income, no external help, no way to get back to the US; l fell off the map. As a matter of fact, l am still off the map. If the reader wants to know how this works, ask me about it. A lot of my accounts are/ were still tied to the domain. Then in 2020, l got some Covid money from the feds. l immediately thought to revive the domain.
Before l continue with this story, if you have some change to spare, drop it on these folks, It's a matter of life and death. Them folks are incredibly resilient, anything helps.
l intended to purchase the domain to regain access to e-mail addresses, linked to Instagram, Twitter, and other services. While l didn't depend on these things, to this day, the Instagram account that l cannot access continues to be the top search result for my name Bullitt D Bourbon. l cannot even delete the account without e-mail access.
Further, l was already locked out of my Twitter account for refusing to delete a tweet denouncing popular media for platforming extractivism in Africa. l had to open a different account. The tweet l refused to delete:
At that point, l didn't want to patronize gandi.net anymore because they simultaneously won government contracts in their home country (France) and stopped talking about service values.
First, social engineering here refers to the information security definition. That definition overruns digital sources, which is also a way of obfuscating the other definitions for this term. Behavioral engineering to prevent people from discussing specific issues is real.
This company explicitly sells privacy and censorship resistance, with emphasis. It is an accredited registrar that gets domains at wholesale prices. On their domain registry page, they stated that when one purchases a domain from them, they get another domain for free. The free domain field is mandatory (cannot be left blank). Giving away extra domains is extra hooks into their clients.
Their service terms limited the number of mailboxes, but aliases are unlimited or less limited. The attacker knew that l wanted access to e-mail addresses associated with the domain. Creating multiple aliases for a mailbox is very common. The first thing l did after l bought the domain was making e-mail aliases. The alises can be created but never worked. This was not the case for the freebee domain.
As a business/ entity whose apparent sole business is web and e-mail hosting and domain registration, they were perfectly aware that most customers need e-mails for account access. As an accredited registrar, they would be able to see that my domain had been registered for years, which means l most likely have accounts linked to e-mail addresses associated with that domain. They do not have to be an experienced hosting provider to know that losing access to e-mail means losing all kinds of account access. Their customers are specifically buying private e-mail hosting. It is easy to see that they have likely done this type of attack a lot, and to understand why they would do it.
The attacker was prepared for me to post the help desk message thread with them in public, and to file consumer complaints with that information. They preempted it by engaging me in a long exchange characterizing me as unknowledgeable. l exercised due diligence requesting them for service; it was not long before l understood l was under attack. l repeated my request and sent log files to their help desk in the thread to preserve the evidence.

The attacker sent a series of messages stating the following (my comments in white italics):
After demanding the refund, l bought service from another provider. The attacker gave me transfer codes, but did not release the hold on the domain for DNS transfer. ICANN has provisions for cancellation of registration of domains; the transfer option offered by the company is not what l asked for. Giving me codes is an extra move, which they think is covering their ass, but it's not, because the codes are never necessary for a retail customer, it's the service provider's job to deal with that. The attacker succeeds because there is no executive entity or mechanism to enforce the provisions; it's an honor system for a scheisty industry. The domain was under my name but l had no access to it. My complaint to the ICANN accredited domain services wholesaler that the attacker is affiliated with.
A lot of open source/ "free software" are broken or made inaccessible purposefully. l state this knowing none of the people who will correct me highlighting their insider knowledge (and characterizing me as lacking it) will read this essay. l don't love Linux, it's just available without payment and l do not use money. The people developing these things 'for free' are not precarious, so they do get money, and they mostly get developpy to get in with a group. How do these people get money: compared to other software, which is without any doubt Silicon Valley centric, "free software" is more centered around northwestern European social welfare states and Germany, where people get paid for existing throughout their entire lives. Founders of nonprofits in Germany can take 33% of the revenue. It is absolutely not decentralized. l don't get down with none of this, and they would not let me into the group if l did (you have to be a cis yt dude, and to a limited degree, a yt woman.)
This computing paradigm is burning itself out with resource drain anyway, no matter how much mineral pillaging and genocidal warfare it demands.
l went to the forums of Webarchitects to talk about what happened, knowing that there are people who bought services with them on the boards. l actively sought them out on the members list and contacted them. If some of those people found my information useful, they did not contact me to tell me so. l would expect that. Others are aware and getting down with that program. Some guy l contacted felt like replying on the forum to call me a problem and indirectly defend the attacker. Bystanders are familiar with bullying/ trolling schemes since childhood; witnesses consistently self censor from responding. This is also getting down with the program. People wear T-shirts, talk about media personalities, throw parties, and print stickers, but take no action when they have the ability to as fascism happens in real time. This is how fascism proliferates.
l made complaints to different consumers complaints entities of the Icelandic government, all of which rejected my claims. l even paid for a review process by something called "kvth.is". These (government) people (from Iceland) are really into the internet, they had digital ethics legislation like 30 years ago to try to attract data center business; they're trained to handle these claims. Siding with the company is their way of communicating that they are in on this scheme.

One cannot help but notice that getting hosting in Iceland is not a thing in the world.
This company that attacked me replied to my review of them on Trustpilot from 6 years ago. March was when the domain became available for registration again, because when a domain expires, there's a default 3 month holding period for the previous registrant to re-register that excludes others from doing so. l am not looking at what the attacker wrote; l don't care, they are just pawns in a counterinsurgency scheme.
In 2025, X dot com stopped me from speaking out about the Flotillas and fire relief when it was timely to stop the majority of people who were going to participate in the harmful deed. Speaking about it now has a distinctly different effect, because people who participated last year -- even those who simply supported it silently -- already committed the harm, and are now entering into a pact of denial. l already saw it peripherally with a groupie i.e. someone who did not participate but receives social reward for speaking about the flotillas. This is engineered trauma conditioned behavior; it reproduces the harm, and will ultimately destroy whoever fails to confront it.
As the above illustrates, Twitter was already engaging in censorship serving the civil society destruction agenda before the high profile ownership change. The celebrity distracts from public discourse about Twitter's preexisting fascist, colonialist bent.
In 2025, making prospective participants in the Flotilla consider their diverting effect could have prevented their buy in.
One thing l talked about was the Flotilla diverting resources (direct donations) from people inside Gaza. l @ tweeted and replied to Flotilla accounts, and a few people hearted. Since l have been in them myself, l am credible. Within a day, X.com banned me.
l went through the motions to complain. This Twitter account was set up to replace the 1st one l was locked out of in 2018. It was only archived once in 2022, which does not show what happened in2025. The platform gave me access to the tweets for an additional couple of weeks without allowing me to post. l did take screenshots like they let me. l do not have trouble opening another account.
Another matter l discussed that would invite censorhip was about the Los Angeles fires early in 2025. Immediately after the fires, there was a resource diversion concert "Fire Aid". Yes, all victimized people benefit the most from direct donations. This is why people who are directly affected are discredited as homeless or possible scammers, to separate them from direct mutual aid. Ignoring all the fascists & fame whores on the bill of Fire Aid, l @ tweeted a bunch of performers. After several months, out of nowhere, Stevie Nicks hearted my @ tweet to her, just before l got shut down.
Someone speaking out now is completely not like someone speaking out in 2025.
In 2026, the volunteers and supporters have already fallen into the trap and entered into the pact of denial.
Now that everyone is talking about how their behavior is being controlled, the White House is whitepeating. This activates the trauma in a specific way, like it does not matter if you figure them out, when it matters a lot.
The whitepeating: The White House released a 7 page "Cyber Security Strategy" this month (March 2026) with a bunch of "pillars", the 1st is "Shape Adversary Behavior".
Incidentally, France also put out a Cyber Security Startegy with 5 pillars and more pages.
Most counterinsurgency in the developed world is psychological. People regularly accept completely perposterous premises, and deny plain facts as coping mechanisms. When l speak to people regarding the above, a significant portion of all ages attribute it to dysfunctional behavior that they characterize as widespread/ typical, projecting their own paranoia and mental fatigue. It didn't start these couple of years, it didn't start with Covid. It was always there after WW2.
l don't know but l can guess. When the adversary makes a move, their goals become clearer.
Those who support Gaza because other people around them do it, or as a performance, feel like support is routine or not exciting to look at. That is why they keep justifying what they do with the need to generate attention, or to center their own faces and names. In contrast, people who center Gaza residents asking for help, by directly giving them funds or amplifying their voices, see and think of these folks all the time with heightened urgency; people form and maintain committed groups dedicated to specific beneficiary families, or seek out on the ground organizations, or get on major platforms to scour for people who need support. 'Who does that?' you might ask, lots of people who do not get any platform, who are far from the majority of those who say free Palestine.
It is part of the agenda to give people in Gaza platform to disseminate shocking images. l can give the example of people in Sudan and Congo not receiving similar calls from randos to buy them esims.
2.5 years into the genocide. l conjecture that metrics gathered by the adversary (who have unlimited capital and state resources) indicate that significant portions of the public have been sufficiently traumatized into dissociation and/ or desensitization.
The attention magneting of the flotillas succeeded/ is succeeding in centering privileged, not-directly-affected-by-the-Gaza-genocide people.
This mechanism is identical to that which deprive people crossing the Mediterranean south to north of the ability to speak for themselves. Who do official news sources and independent jounalists alike interview about what so called migrants are going through in Europe? Organizers of groups with rescuer appelations speak for migrants. Have you ever seen a racialized person participating as a rescuer? Most accredited sailors in the world are racialized, but these organizations hand pick yt participants who are active elsewhere-- majority of which have little to no sailing experience. Their involvement returns platforms for advertising saviorism embedded in activist communities. Once in a while, a fascist gets a news article connecting rescuers to traffickers, the personality repulses observers who have leftist politics from examining the possibility, or to shut down speaking on it.
Many of the perps participating in both of these privileged hero narratives are the exact same people. Yes, perps: those who do it repeatedly with full cognizance are perps; those who join without cognizance are accessories until they start digging themselves in deeper and become full perpetrators. ((( It's sick and disgraceful,))) but l digress. This strategy has been applied and refined over the course of more than a decade.
l went to the Netherlands in Fall 2025 and started to talk about counterinsurgency at Anarchist Bookfair Amsterdam. l went for the second time in February 2026 and talke about this at another event. l stayed in NL for a bit over a month after that, during which l got more and more static whenever someone from a group tells me they are interested in the subject matter of counterinsurgency; they invariably drop off and start avoiding me. Counterinsurgency is always present in these spaces.
When l got antagonized and quit the flotilla in 2018, the ground was laid for me to speak against it. The constant platforming of the flotillas, and the large number of participants absorbed into it, implanted the presumption that whoever speaks against it is Zionist or sus. So now is a perfect time to platform me on social media!
l'm saying exactly what l was finna say: the flotillas are counterinsurgency, they have no intention of arriving, and if they arrive, it's because Israel lets them. The flotillas blackholes funds and attention that people in Gaza should (have) receive(d) just to keep them alive for another day. It's a genocide, stopping one person from being killed/ maimed for one day does more direct action than all the crying wahwahwah to daddy protesting. l say this on my terms, in the venue that l choose, not where my message gets deturned to suit their needs. Anyone in Gaza on social media asking for help can and do tell you that thousands of views usually do not even translate to $1 in donations. Do something about that.
