My domain got hijacked in 2020 by a hosting company/ registrar that has been selling censorship-resistance for 20+ years. This locked me out of a bunch of administrative and social media accounts while l got stranded out of the country.
Now, in April 2026, fascist or "right wing" media personalities capture attention by criticizing the war on Iran. This adminstration is entering its lame duck phase; true to fascist form, the other fascists cannabalize whoever is weakening in their ranks. Meanwhile, "left" DSA personalities visibly go fash (Ocasio voting to arm Israel and Mamdani building 4 new jails.) The narrative erases the line between the political left and right. Average Americans lapping at their wounds are invited to kiss and make up with their political rivals while resting assured that the self-produced problems of the world cannot be solved.
About a month ago, the domain hijacker alerted me to the domain becoming available to me again. Replatforming me? Wow. l go around talking about counterinsurgency, and l made this site, therefore l must have a lot to say on Instagram. Nah. They want to platform what l have to say about the Flotilla and LA Fire Aid now that everyone has blood on their hands. Folks, donate directly to people in Gaza and Sudan, they have to pay for everything, the donations are being throttled from the usual donors, donating directly to people in Gaza is the only way to help. You may have gotten used, you may have been weak, but you can stop harming and start helping today. That's what accountability looks like.
In 2020, l was locked out of various accounts and social media (Instagram and Twitter) by a social engineering attack from a hosting/ domain registrar provider in Iceland called "Nineteen Eighty Four dot Ay Ess". This company, as well as another one from Iceland "Orange", is recommended by this March 12, 2025 post from "Proton For Business". Almost exactly 1 year to the day, we find out that privacy-vending Proton snitches by providing payment details to authorities.
l unwittingly used this company more than 10 years ago through a British cooperative in Sheffield, Webarchitects, that resold hosting service from this provider under the name Ecodissident.net (archived page). A data center that has natural cooling and a mid-Atlantic location sounds great. So why doesn't everyone rush to get hosted in Iceland (or even talk about it)?
In 2016, Webarchitects took down the page for Ecodissident hosting, and stopped reselling services from Iceland. They sent communications to subscribers saying that the servers ran by Nineteen Eighty Four Dot Ay Ess in Iceland went down indefinitely, that they have backed up and migrated subscribers' data to their own racks in Sheffield, and took the opportunity to discontinue the offer. l wasn't so much concerned about censorship at the time, l used them after looking a lot at ecological hosting options, The move effectively canceled out my incentive to use them. l asked them if Iceland based hosting would be offered again; they just very politely offered to host on their own infrastructure but did not say why.
After this, l joined the Webarchitects collective for a year to give them some solidarity, but l moved hosting over to gandi.net.
People didn't visit my site so much. There was content that linked from the front page, but it looked like it was blank. Logs showed nothing but robot indexing hits. Later, l converted it to a terrorist website that was completely covered with a graphic taken directly from the Al Fateh children's magazine website. The metrics show that the site was mostly visited by robots. l have a copy of the old site here.
l allowed the domain registration to lapse after l was stranded outside of the US by the Gaza Flotilla. A lot of my accounts were still tied to the domain, although l had access to those accounts. In 2020, l got some Covid money from the feds. l immediately thought to revive the domain. By then l didn't want to patronize gandi.net anymore because they became established and seemed to be resting on their laurels.
l intended to purchase the domain to regain access to e-mail addresses, linked to Instagram, Twitter, and other services. While l didn't depend on these things, to this day, the Instagram account that l cannot access continues to be the top search result for my name Bullitt D Bourbon. People do try to contact me through Instagram when they see the account, and l do not want to be associated with Instagram. l cannot even delete the account without e-mail access.
Further, l was already locked out of my Twitter account for refusing to delete a tweet denouncing public personalities for platforming extractivism in Africa for batteries. l had to open a different account. That newer account is now also blocked/ obfuscated. The tweet l refused to delete:
Everyone knows that losing access to e-mail is catastrophic for account access. The attacker is aware that l wanted access to e-mail addresses associated with the domain. l wanted multiple aliases that forwarded to one mailbox, a very common thing. From the outset, email forwarding was blocked from the domain l purchased, (but not the one that was a freebee.)
As a business/ entity whose sole business is web and e-mail hosting and domain registration, they were perfectly aware that l needed my e-mails for account access. As an accredited registrar, they would be able to see that my domain had been registered over many years, which means l would likely have accounts linked to e-mail addresses associated with that domain; they would also know this if they received information from another entity that knows for sure it's linked to my Instagram and Twitter.
The attacker was prepared for me to post the exchange in public and to file consumer complaints, preempting it by engaging me in a long help desk message exchange characterizing me as unknowledgeable. l repeated my request and posted log files mostly to preserve the evidence, because l understood that l was under attack.
The owner of the attacking entity sent a series of replies stating the following (my comments in white italics):
On their domain registry page, they stated that when one purchases a domain from them, they get another domain for free. The free domain field is mandatory (cannot be left blank). This is an accredited registrar. Extra domains are extra hooks into their clients, it's bait.
Bystanders are familiar with these bullying/ trolling schemes since childhood; witnesses consistently self censor from responding. This is how fascism proliferates.

l made a complaint to the Iceland consumers board which rejected my claim. These (government) people (from Iceland) are really into the internet, they had digital ethics legislation like 30 years ago to try to attract data center business; they're trained to handle these claims. Siding with the company is their way of communicating what they are about.
One cannot help but notice that getting hosting in Iceland is not a thing in the world.
My domain has been squatted for the past 6 years, variously by Chinese contact addresses and by an Iceland contact addresses. Notice in the record that the registerant hid their other information but chose to show that they are from Iceland 3x in the record.

The full DNS record in a pdf for the domain since 2011 shows that l registered through Ecodissident, then gandi.net for 8 years; during the lapse from 2019, it was squatted by an Arizona based domain squatter, then a Massachusetts based squatter. l bought the domain through the attacker in May 2020, the DNS records shows the attacker did not change the ownership from the Massachusetts based squatter to me. A different entity from Guangdong, China registered the domain in July 2021; then it was a Colorado contact; then it was a Sichuan, China based contact; finally, on January 1, 2025, it was registered by an entity in Iceland.
Making an Iceland entity appear on the record is also a type of signaling, that attacks are directed at me. If you, the reader, considers this might "just be personal grudge", l remind you that l have been under directed COIN that separated me from my community with the goal of silencing my messaging.
This is how trauma conditioned you are.
In March this year, this company replied to my review of them on Trustpilot after 6 years.
X dot com stopped me from speaking out about flotilla and fire relief when it was timely to change public perception and help with emergency aid. Speaking about it in plain terms now has a distinctly different effect.
If l can actually log back into my old Twitter and Instagram accounts, it's beacuse they want me to. l'm not into it. l like my Neocities site.
As the above illustrates, Twitter was already engaging in censorship serving colonialist agenda before it got bought. The ownership is for optics, distracting from the fascist, colonialist agenda that already started surfacing. It is important to consider why people with opinions and goals against the agenda are given service and space on these platforms.
In the past year, l was locked out of the Twitter account that l set up to replace the 1st one l was locked out of in 2018. It was only archived once in 2022, which does not show what happened in 2025.
In 2025, l talked about the Flotilla diverting resources (direct donations) from people inside Gaza. l @ tweeted and replied to Flotilla accounts, and a few people hearted. Since l have been in them myself, l am credible. Within a couple of weeks they shut me down.
Another thing was the Los Angeles fires early in the year. Immediately after the fires, there was a resource diversion concert "Fire Aid". Yes, all victimized people benefit the most from direct donations. This is why people are discredited as homeless or possible scammers, to disenfranchise. Ignoring all the fascists & fame whores on the bill, like the Christofascist foil to Taylor Swift for example, l @ tweeted a bunch of performers. After several months, out of nowhere Stevie Nicks hearted my @ tweet to her, just before l got shut down.
Fascists have been defeated before without violence, cf. Rock Against Fascism in the UK in the 1970s. Celebrities speaking out works.
Someone speaking out now is completely not like someone speaking out in 2025. People needed help last year, and they still do, but people have already forgotten last year's news.
The White House released a 7 page "Cyber Security Strategy" this month (March 2026) with a bunch of "pillars", (emulating Islam, l'm not kidding.) Each of those things are just The 1st "Pillar" is "Shape Adversary Behavior".
Incidentally, France also put out a Cyber Security Startegy with 5 pillars and more pages.
Now that everyone is talking about how their behavior is being controlled, the White House is whitepeating. This induces trauma, like it does not matter if you figure them out. It does.
Most attacks in the developed world are psychological; the general public has been receiving torture. It conditions people to accept completely perposterous premises as a coping mechanism. If l spoke to random people about the above, a significant portion would not be able to accept that these things were planned counterinsurgency, and attribute it to dysfunctional behavior, projecting their own paranoia and mental fatigue. It didn't start these couple of years, it didn't start with Covid. It was always there after WW2.
